Melissa Kaye Snyder is the courageous cancer survivor, dynamic personality, and innovative CEO/Founder behind SurvivorshipCare.org.
Melissa opened her private cancer care management and survivorship agency following an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis, in 2016. After walking the cancer care path in its entirety and completing a double mastectomy surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation Melissa soon realized that there was a great need for complex, cancer care management & stream-lined cancer support services nationwide. She understands that cancer care management and advocacy are both vital components to effective survivorship, when focusing on quality of life measures and effective treatment planning post diagnosis.
Melissa is very passionate in pursuing the best in cancer care management as she felt that much of her own personal cancer care journey, planning, and coordination literally "fell through the cracks" within the health care system itself, while she struggled for months to make it to multiple provider appointments while balancing a complex cancer diagnosis, intense treatments, career life, parenting, and other personal and practical day-to-day demands. Upon graduating treatments, Melissa had a strong desire and passion to start helping other individuals like herself, diagnosed with cancer, make it to the other side of their cancer care journey with their own personal and life goals accomplished, no matter what that looked like for him/her. Ms. Snyder does this by offering her clients instrumental 1:1 support & guidance, at a time when its needed most!
Today, she continues to work hard to meet the needs of all those individuals she passionately advocates for and serves daily, across the colorful state of Colorado and beyond. As the agency continues to grow, Melissa manages and oversees all care management cases with her primary goal being to provide the best quality of care to clients of SurvivorshipCare.org.
Following her passion to serve seniors in the health care industry in 2012, Melissa's experiences in the field of aging has been very diverse.
